Reading the following story online at BBC (this is where we get the most of our news from). Rival to the World’s Tallest Man. So what does it have to do with Mongolia? Well if you scroll down and look at a comparison of the world’s tallest man you will see the current record holder, a man by the name of Bao Xishun. Where does Bao live? Yep, that would be Darhan. I can’t say that I have seen him although friends did see them standing, or bent over because the ceiling was to low, at the bank.

Your two nephews, John and Charlie, are fully immersed in that rite of passage of so many youths, rote memorization of the Guinness Book of World Records. Few dinner times start without the words, “Put the book away….now.” Few bedtimes end without the phrase: “Turn out the lights and stop reading…now.”
Charlie was focused on growing his finger nails to break a new record, and we had quite the tension until the promise of a birthday party with his best friend had to be held hostage until he and the clipper had a tete-a-tete.
Sooooo, needless to say, the entire male population of the third and fourth grad classes at Faith Christian Academy are now aware of the Great Wonder that Uncle Mark has Laid Eyes on the World’s Tallest Man, in person! Even being in Gatlinburg does not compare to this. I mean, WOW!!!

Sorry, Charlie and John, Uncle Mark hasn’t seen the man himself, but our friends and neighbors across the hall — Annika’s teacher and another one of our teammates — DID see him and his wife at the bank.
